Opening our helping hands to the community.
HSBC employees around the world have had a long-standing tradition of community involvement, which has allowed a countless number of charity organisations and schools to benefit from the generosity and hard work of our volunteers. Being the world’s local bank, there are more and more employees in Taiwan carrying on this important tradition to support community development and promote goodwill.
At HSBC, we recognise that education is crucial to the development and prosperity of every country. By investing in education, we seek to build the confidence and abilities of people, on whom as customers or employees, our business and future success will depend.
HSBC Taiwan has supported staff volunteers since 2002 with the Guandu Nature Park. In 2005, HSBC Taiwan launched Staff Volunteer Programme, which encourages staff to do volunteer works in non-profit organizations.
HSBC Taiwan also frequently holds tree planting activity, blood donation drive, CPR training and beach clean-up events. From 2006 to 2007, HSBC Taiwan recruited second-hand children books and used hygiene and cleaning products, then donated them to remote schools and children’s home.
