Important notes:
1. This Internet banking remittance service is only applicable for remitting funds from a HSBC branch in Taiwan to an overseas HSBC branch between accounts of the same
name. The recipient HSBC branch must not be located in Taiwan. Whether an overseas HSBC branch is able to remit funds into a HSBC branch in Taiwan depends on the
policy of the overseas HSBC branch.
2. Your first application can be made by completing an Account Setup - Application for Recipient Account Form at a HSBC branch (restricted to accounts under the same name),
or you may download and mail the completed application form. Service is available only if the setup is complete.
* The application takes approximately 5 working days to process.
3. The remitting party must first create an Internet user name and password in HSBC Internet banking before using this service.
4. This service is available only to HSBC Premier customers in Taiwan. It is not available to customers who only holds HSBC credit cards or non-HSBC customers.
5. During your first usage of this fund transfer service, if the identities of sender and receiver are inconsistent across different countries, HSBC will confirm the consistency of your
two identities within two working days. You will not be able to access this service during the confirmation period.
6. The remitting and receiving accounts for this service must be composite foreign currency deposit accounts.
7. For Internet transfers from an account in Taiwan to other countries, remittance amounts must not exceed an equivalent of NT$ 500,000 per transaction, and the
cumulative remittance transaction per day is limited to the equivalent of NT$ 500,000. Other fund transfer restrictions shall apply depending on local regulations.
Transactions with China are subject to governance and regulatory restrictions related to financial dealings between China and Taiwan.
8. For regulatory compliance, every overseas remittance transaction must be reported to the Central Bank. Please specify the nature of the transaction from the options available
on the Internet Banking website that best describes your remittance.
9. The time of remittance will be based on the time the operation actually takes place. If the request was raised during a public holiday in the remitting or receiving country, the
amount will be transferred on the next business day.
10. This service cannot directly convert and remit amounts in different currencies. Inward and outward remittances are only available for same currency transfers.
11. Transactions cannot be cancelled once completed.
12. Transaction certifications issued by the bank will be treated as declarations.
13. The bank reserves the right to amend and suspend these services at any time.
14. According to government policy, only customers holding valid residence permits in Taiwan are able to perform cross-border remittance transactions. This is to facilitate
regulatory reporting of foreign remittances (inward and outward).
