The Bank’s FX service through Internet/Mobile banking is 24*7. The Bank has the right to suspend FX service when FX market fluctuates
The daily cutoff time is 2200 (actual time will be based on the Bank‘s system batch time). Transactions after the system cutoff time will be the next day transactions. Daily accumulated TWD related FX limit will be calculated based on the system cutoff time. Customer daily TWD related FX transaction amount through all channels should be within TWD499,999. Customer should go to branch to do the transaction when the amount exceeds TWD499,999. Customer daily CNY related FX transaction amount through all channels should be within CNY20,000. Transactions after the Bank’s system cutoff time and during the public holidays will be treated as the next working day transactions.
TWD related FX exchange rate after 1530 will be determined by the cross rate of USDTWD board rate at 1530 and the live rate of FCY/USD plus the bank’s spread.
If the Bank’s daily net TWD position between 1530 and 0900 next business day exceeds the daily limit, your transaction will not be processed. Transactions done beyond 1530 and 0900 next business day will not be impacted by the Bank’s net TWD position.
The Bank has the right to suspend FX online service through Internet Banking and Mobile Banking
Customer shall acknowledge the associated risks. Customer shall take all associated risks and losses related with FX conversion limitations, and understand that the biggest loss might be 100% principal plus interests.

¹The exchange rate displayed at the time of transaction is already the preferential rate. The dealt rate applied will be based on the execution rate at the time of transaction.

Available on Touch ID enabled Apple iPhone and iPad or later running on iOS 10.3.3 or above. Fingerprint ID is supported on most Android devices with OS version Android 8.0 or above. For security concerns, Fingerprint ID is not supported on Samsung 10/ S10 devices.

Available on Face ID enabled Apple iPhone X or later, and iPad Pro running on iOS 10.3 or above. Currently, Face ID is not supported on Android devices for security reasons.

*Please note that changes to the core functions of mobile banking will be done on the ongoing basis. During the process of change, some services such as open new term deposit, transfer to non-predestinated or non-saved payee and transfer to foreign currency account in other domestic bank will be temporarily unavailable via mobile banking. Please log on internet banking for the services. Starting year 2020, we’ll resume these services as soon as possible.

*Currently, you will need to use Online Banking to add new payees, after which the same will also be available for view and selection on HSBC Taiwan app for all future transfers. Through HSBC Taiwan app you can make transfers only to your existing payees.
