We hereby inform you that when the demise does take place, the benchmark index* used to determine the floating interest rate of your current mortgage loan will be replaced with the Taipei Interbank Offered Rate (3 months), also known as TAIBOR**.

*On the date of rate adjustment (applicable to both monthly and quarterly adjustable mortgage loans), the Adjusted Rate Mortgage index is determined by the prior 3-month average of the daily Adjusted Rate Mortgage rates, benchmarked to the TAIBOR (3 months). If non-business days are encountered where rates are not available, rates from the previous working day will apply. Rates are calculated to the second decimal point, rounding up from the third decimal point.

*On the date of rate adjustment (applicable to both monthly and quarterly adjustable mortgage loans), the Superior Adjusted Rate Mortgage index is determined by TAIBOR (3 months) rate generated on the same day. If it is a non-business day, rate from the previous working day will be applied.

**About TAIBOR:

The Taipei Interbank Offered Rate (TAIBOR) is the average interest rate at which funds are offered between prime banks in the Taiwan wholesale money market or interbank market. TAIBOR is calculated daily before 11:30 AM by the designated agency, which is commissioned by the Taipei Interbank Money Center, based on the rates provided by the appointed banks. Once the agency has collected the rates, the highest and lowest 25% are eliminated. An average is calculated of the 50% remaining mid-rates to produce the official TAIBOR rate. Currently the appointed banks include the Bank of Taiwan, Landbank of Taiwan, TCB-Bank, First Bank, HNBC, CHB, TBB, Fubon Bank, Mega Bank, Cathay Bank, Sinopac, Chunghwa Post Co. Ltd, CTBC, E.SUN Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank. TAIBOR is announced daily at 11:30 AM Taipei time. Customers may refer to the official website of the ROC Bankers Association at http://www.ba.org.tw.

Note: In the event of inconsistencies or discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall govern.
